does anyone have a current link to download the manual?

Hi everyone,

did someone download the stuff from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1rdmclp1kfpqkjo/AAB_mkjdbMm4IYqC5GqfCfhga?dl=0 witch was mentioned here: https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=23162.msg345478#msg345478 ? I've searched the web up and down on edonkey, torrent and normal web with different search engines nothing can be found (maybe I asked the wrong words/filenames), the wayback machine did not save the dropbox stuff and the torrent on nyaa.net/nyaa.si has no seeders or at least it seems so, in two weeks since i have the torrent running none was seen. So can please someone help us get that stuff either by re-uploading the file(s) on a one-click hoster, reseeding the torrent or sharing them on edonkey or something? I will also seed/share that stuff further as long as I can. It would be sad if all that fine work would be lost.

English manual re-upload

(Thankfully someone still has it!)

Thank you very much I make this file available on edonkey and maybe on other hosts. Unluckily the file differs a bit from the file used by the torrent I have tried to remove the readme.md but without success, without knowing the content of the original file that will be a never ending story.

Wow! I've hoped to play this since the DeJap days.

Some game feedback; The grind is real with the insane encounter rate, almost quit more than once. The story is a bit too simple and full of JRPG clichés, but enjoyable and unique in its own way. That said, the visuals and sound are breath-taking. Little details everywhere and the game can be quite charming and immersive. I liked the combat and progression systems.

Regarding the translation and hacking: the effort put into this really shows, holy cow! Phenomenal work on all departments! Thanks so much Tom, DDSTranslation, FlashPV, DougRPG and others who worked on this over the decades.

Cheers

Fixing of typos or glitches that may happen with the translation applied are 2 good reasons for this.

The patch has been updated several times, but it's been years since the last update, so you should be safe.

Thank you so much for your hard work Tom, and all involved.

I played this game back in the 90s all the way to Canine region, not speaking Japanese, and finally completing it 25+ years later thanks to you was very emotional.

Astounding work, really. The writing was excellent and conveyed the Tengai Makyou feeling I've only been able to guess until now.

Praying you or another hero takes up the gauntlet and finally gives the world the behemoth that is Tengai Makyou II ... ;)

Anyways, thanks so much again. Will spend the next year attending all the festivals now <3

Does this work on Higan?

Yes, in fact, for a while higan was the go-to emulator for playing this until Snes9x implemented the necessary changes for supporting the memory map.
