Mario Kart Super Cicuit Hacking?

Hi.

I was just wondering why there are no hacks at all for Super Circuit on the GBA.  It seems to me that, at least as mode 7 style goes, this is the superior game yet there are lots of track hacks for SMK and nothing for SC.

Is it that SMK has more nostalgic cache?  Is SC (and the GBA in general) still too 'new' to have gained any real traction in the ROM hacking community?  Or is it simply that nobody feels like it?

Are there any technical reasons?  I understand there is a lot of documentation and many tools related to SNES hacking but not so much regarding the GBA.

I'm pretty ignorant to all things ROM hacking.  Please forgive my noob question.  I'm just very curious about it and SC is by far my favourite MK game.

Any (constructive!) replies are appreciated. :)

I've been wondering about the lack of hacks for this game, too. I've been requesting at least a simple voice-swap for Luigi, Peach, Toad, Wario, and the "Congratulations!" voice at the end, changing them from the MK64 JPN voices to their MK64 International counterparts. It's a hack that needs to be done above all others, in my opinion.

I still want to see hacks for this game that would add obstacles to the SNES tracks and decensor the preview image of Sunset Wilds because in the Japanese version, the Shy Guys had Native American headdresses in the image.

Obstacles in the SNES courses would be particularly cool - and perhaps even the SNES skies per track.

Like I say, though, I'm pretty ignorant in all things hacking so I don't know if that's even possible!

One can but dream. :)

That would be cool, but I always figured there must've been a reason that Nintendo left them out =/
