Replaying FF1 for NES, do you know a better version for that?
« on: September 20, 2016, 08:02:05 pm »
I've recently finished all known versions of FF1 (the original NES version, the PSX version, the GBA version and the PSP version).
Recently, i got interest to replay the NES version, but i beaten that version at least 2 times and i want a better experience other than the remakes.
So do you know a better version of FF1 for NES, or it's only the original and the remakes?

And also I recall the loading time was pretty bad (being a floppy disk-based game).

And why is the MSX version still restricted to one save file? Considering it saves to a separate user disk, that's 720K spent on one save slot. :P

Final Fantasy Restored exists if you'd like everything bugfixed.  It also has in optional a new RNG which should make things pretty different.

Hi! Sorry for not replying back in a while, but i was busy with school.
Anyway, just a quick question: Does this "Restored" hack that Chronosplit just mentioned stays true to the original experience while giving it
a new one at the same time?
I'll be waiting patiently for a reply.

Yes, there is a better version of FF1, it's called Phantasy Star and it was released on Master System. Better than DW, too, IMHO.  ;D
