Hey guys, I'm new here and I've got, what I think might be, a simple question.

So as you might know, Oracle of Seasons was originally going to be a The Legend of Zelda remake, the original NES one (titled Hyrule Fantasy when it first came out).

Would it be possible to hack the game in order for it to become a true remake? I'm sure a lot of overworld and dungeon redesign would be necessary, but pretty much all the resources are there. Almost every character, enemy and boss. As well as most overworld sprites.

Would that be a feasible thing? Would it be possible? Would it be a ton of work or maybe just more or less?

It most likely it would but you'd be putting a lot of work into it.  Even more work depending on how far you'd want to go with this (old shields for example).

This idea has crossed my mind as well. I guess the best bet is to wait for/help Drenn to finish his disassembly of the oracle games:

Well, at this point it was more of a curiosity than anything else. I'm not sure how useful I would be in building a tool. Never done such a thing! As long as it is something that is on the minds of people and the tools are being made that may help with it, it's hopeful!

Maybe it's 'mature' enough to be able to remake the overworld - maybe even more...
