Any particular reason why FM-Towns exclusive have never been touched?

I noticed there is nothing for this computer system whether it be romhacks or translations, and that is a shame honestly.

Is there technical problems behind this?

KingMike

Little known system, so both technical reasons and simply not many people have heard of it.

Makes sense, it was a little known Japanese computer system. It had a lot of very interesting games on there, but some of them was ported over to consoles. It made a start from 1989, and it was discontinued in 1997.

It looked like it had it's own OS, and eventually it picked up Windows 95

This is probably the correct one..or is it both?

What exclusives did you have in mind that you would want to see translated?

Perhaps the best-known "exclusives" are the Lucasarts games (namely the 256-color edition of Zak McKraken), but those all have English scripts already.

Nothing in particular, I was mostly curious to see what this system was all about.

Kigen: Kagayaki no Hasha looks little interesting if I had to pick one.

It seems like they had a lot of rpgs for the system.  I actually want to learn more about this system too.  Maybe people don't know a lot about it because sites that could have a category for it (ie: here) don't.  Spread the word!

The Marty is essentially a console variant of the computers that came before, to my knowledge there is no such thing as a "Marty game", meaning a game that would actually only run on the console. Rather, some games won't be able to run on the Marty.

There are actually very few games that were exclusively running only on FM Towns systems.
I believe that Abel is an exclusive RPG.
Most games came either from the PC-98, Arcade, or western PCs. Some of the ports were improved, e.g. the Uncharted Waters games have a CD soundtrack.

Come to think of it, aside from the LucasArts game, one game that comes up is the port of Splatterhouse.

But these days you might as well just go ahead and play the arcade original.
