Awesome tracks, also I can't wait to see more goods from Umbral Genesis & Metroid Space Complex, keep up the great work Sinis!

Also I hope Sephirous is doing alright, but I know you can finish CoA.

Thanks like always David :)

Yeah....I dunno on what's going on with Sephirous.  Now his Discord user has been deleted and his alternate email is giving me the same jive as it cannot be found.  Already had someone else claim they were Sephirous but it was the typical thief trying to get CoA (their spelling wasn't great is what gave them away :P )

11 more days in hoping he pops back up but if not then I'll finish it with the help of Optomon.  If he pops back up afterwards with sound proof that its him then things will go forward.

I'm just extremely stumped on what happened.  If there were issues I wish he would have told me about it to talk it out (doubt it was that as him and I never had any sourness at each other) or at least give me a  heads up that he was disappearing.  Where ever he is I hope all is well for the guy.  He's project lead, not me :P

I'm confident we will.

Well...there is something to share.

Whelp....its official.  I am personally blocked by him.  I tried reaching out to him again today with another PM on here and got this yelling back at me.  I am  now dumbfounded as to what happened.  There was no drama or anything so not sure on what went on.  Seriously, I liked working with the guy as there was no issues between us as the last we talked about was looking into the Metroid game engine for a project in which I brought up.

Not sure if this is that old CoA curse that people warned us about ages ago or whatever happened or some sort of issue he should have let me know about it.

Guess I'm not waiting until March 16th as I'm considering this abandonment of the project from him.

For CoA, I'm not gonna let this project die.  There are numerous amounts of people that have been waiting for this project for over 10 years as this current one has had almost 2 years put into it with it about 3/4 done at this point.

Any future updates will be done either by me, Optomon and/or Nesfan.  This project is not going to be cancelled nor am I going to let any unknown drama get in the way.  All of you are getting CoA even if high tides or the mountains blow up, its seeing the light of day :P

Its beyond bizarre.  No matter what, I'm still going to credit him within the project along with the page when its released as project lead.  Wish he didn't bail like this as he was a person with information for Castlevania 3.  Something this community needed as I was going to talk to him and see if he was willing to make a documentation for the RHDN page document section on how to edit stuff within the ROM.

Starting tomorrow I'll go through some stuff on it and see to what needs updated or edited like small sprite and color changes.  Was going to this week but been busy.  I'm going to change Richter's sprite colors because his outline blends in with a lot of other background colors.  Other than that just gotta wait for Nesfan to get things done then pass that onto Optomon.

Sounds  like a good idea to me,Sinis.

Sounds great, also maybe you can ask Optomon or Nesfan what can or should be added to the game?

To be added?  Not much else really.  Just need the new bosses programmed in along with the new music and music edits/changes.  I remember Sephirous saying there was something going on with the last stage that it couldn't be played due to something for programming in which I'll have Optomon look at.

Yeah, not much else needs to be added.  Its just a strait line from here.  Only thing left to wait on is music then Optomon will get to the other stuff :)

I'm also going to get a new teaser trailer up that Sephirous once had.  I'll be doing that tomorrow as I got other things going today :)

He took back MetroidVania a few steps and was going to redo it from what we were going to originally do.  From what I know it got stuck in limbo along with Ballad of Sympathy, which that was going to be a follow-up of CoA.  We were talking about it before he disappeared and did this stunt.  Most likely cancelled along with the SQ linear reboot that he had going.  In this point of time I have no plans on picking up those side projects as I'm going to finish CoA and move on from Sephirous's work.  I got my own list to start working on so not gonna fuss with anything else :P

Seriously though, if anyone is reading this don't worry as CoA is going to be finished.  I still want to fully apologize to everyone as this wasn't expected at all.  Not looking for sympathy in all of this, just want to apologize as I cannot do that enough.

Going to push the teaser back a couple of days.  Found a lot of useless stuff that needed to be changed and taken out from originally saw.  Clock Tower had some blocks that were breakable which would have prevented the player from progressing further to where they had to kill the character off via a pit if broken.  Taking away false stairs that gave off the impression that they were usable.  Some enemies I cannot change due to how he had them programmed so I'll be making a list for Optomon to clean up said areas.

This list is slowly getting big...

I'm in OCD mode fixing things right now to what I can with reVamp.  Some sprite animations were off too, dunno  how that happened but going to be working on stuff before I have a presentable early game play trailer :P

I hope that whatever is going on with Sephirous gets resolved soon, and that all of this sudden ignorance gets solved. Anyways, I hope that this hack gets finished soon, because I love me some Castlevania. Keep up the good work, and I hope the release goes well.

Yeah, I'm running behind.  Some other stuff came up in real life and a good ROM hacking buddy of mine needed some immediate help with some sprite work for their PC game as the guy they had bailed at the last minute so I offered to help them out as they were in a panic.

I'm probably going to look into doing one of those live feed things this coming Monday evening to show work and current state of how CoA is :)

Don't feel bad, when Acmlm's Board was a powerhouse years ago I asked a few SMB hackers if they wanted to work on a SMB hack with me, a few people worked on their levels but some just fell off the face of the earth. I hadda finish editing the rest of the levels. People still like the final product.

Keep going man, you're making amazing progress, this hack has the potential to be a classic once it's done. ;)
