Looking at that image, I wouldnt call that as very hard. Id call that as unfair and almost impossible, unless you cheat. A good game hack doesnt need to have almost impossible jumps with tons of guns and enemies shooting everywhere to be hard. Just make a hack that is challenging in a realistic form. Theres plenty of games on this site that you can choose from for hints and ideas.

My Hack is very hard! But you can still pass if you are master contra!

Btw, it'd be interesting if you include above code function in your editor. The code allows player to change ammo immediately by pressing some secret buttons.

First, how to add them: you can use any assembler like xkas to convert the codes into NES machine codes.
Offcourse you need to know about NES address, NES mapping. It's not that difficult. You can grab some NES assembly document from the document section outside the homepage.
After compiling, you can see how the binary file changes. Grab that and put it to your patch.

Second, how do they work: simple, this code checks what button the player pushed in the last frame. If the player pushed button 1, then it changes the weapon to ammo 1 and so on.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge about contra translation. Basically change the graphics in contra. It is very helpful for my contra hacks. Just my knowledge of English and coding things about ram, ppu, hex I don't understand. If for a hacker nes it is simple. But to me, I don't understand what you are saying. Because I don't have basic knowledge. Maybe I need VERY long time to learn them. Also I haven't tried the patch but my guess is to use the select key to change weapons. Because I read a Chinese document that the select key has the ability to select a weapon. Essentially the added hex code. If you are Vietnamese. Do you use any social networks? There's no secret in these terms: Ram, PPU,... They are just basic terms that you need to know when it come to Retro console's rom hacking. Actually I don't call this is rom hacking. If you know how to programming the console, then you can do anything for it.

I released it already, contra cay editor 4 is a bad hack, very bad graphics. I will add your code snippet in the next contra hack project. But I need a US contra address. Because I can only work with it. If you can find the address in the US version, that's fine. Then my hack will be better.
