I'll post this again, Zachery, because I really want to help you. I truly do.
You need to give information when you ask for help. Simply saying "I'm having a problem" and showing a screenshot is not enough. In this thread the only problem we can guess is that the Cup name didn't change.
...but you didn't tell us whether or not you actually tried to change the cup name.
Did you try changing it and the game does not reflect your changes?
Are you unable to find the text in the ROM and therefore were unable to change it?
Or was it something else?
Generally, when asking a question, hit all these bullet points:
1) Give a brief introduction stating what the problem is.
2) Tell us what you did, step by step.
3) If you used any special tools or files, give links to them so that we can easily re-create your problem on our end.
4) Tell us what changes you were expecting
5) Tell us what actually happened
6) If necessary highlight what is different about #4 & #5.
7) Ask what you can do differently to achieve the desired result.
8 ) Do **NOT** assume people have read any of your other threads. If you need another thread for context, say so in your post and give a link to the thread. Or if there's only a tiny bit of info in that other thread, just repeat it again in the new thread.
Here is what your original post here should have looked like... following those bullet points:
Topic: "[SNES] Cup name in SMK isn't changing."
Hey everyone, I'm making a Super Mario Kart (SNES) hack. I want to change the names of the cups, but am having problems.
I'm using a table file I got here: http://a_link_to_where_you_got_your_tbl_file
I found text that looks like it would be the names of the cups at offset 0x123456. So I changed the text, but the changes did not show up in-game:

As you can see in the screenshot, it still says "MUSHROOM CUP". I want it to say "FANTASY CUP"
Is offset 0x123456 the wrong address? Is there a different change I need to make to the ROM?
Thanks.
Note that it is much harder to make a complete post like this. You have to really think about what you've done and what you really want help with. But doing this makes is SO MUCH EASIER for the people who can help you because they'll have all the information up-front and they won't have to play 20 questions trying to figure out what the actual problem is. When you make it easier for us, we'll be more likely to help you.
