How to bring a music hack on ROM?
« on: February 19, 2016, 07:26:17 pm »
Hello!

I don't know much about ROM hacking but I want to hack my Final Fantasy 6 Advance ROM with the FF6 SNES Music Hack (an .ips-data)
What have I to do to hack the ROM?

Thanks in advance!

In this case you do not want to hack it, just apply the IPS patch.

There are many IPS patching programs. If you are mainly concerned with the GBA then I highly suggest the IPS function of GBATA ( http://www.no-intro.org/tools.htm ), indeed if GBA games are a thing you do I highly suggest having a copy of GBATA around.
Others like http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/ , personally for non GBA uses (though you can force GBATA to work if you put *.* in the name part of the section window) then http://home.arcor.de/minako.aino/ipsXP/ is what I use.
