Command line apps are quite useful. When I hear someone say they hate something, this usually signals to me that one does not understand that thing and instead chooses the easier path of ignorance and dismissal.

I suggest you attempt to understand the uses for command line apps before writing it off completely. Respectfully, you are simply missing out. I doubt you will get far with your project if you continue to put up barriers for yourself.

Command lines are really easy as long as you have the instructions handy. Otherwise it can sometimes be impossible to know what needs to be input.
Cigarettes, ice-cream, figurines of the Virgin Mary...

The question about 'command prompt' was the answer. A lot of the tools here have no graphic user interface (GUI)...the window / app that pops up on your screen when you run it. Therefore, it must be run by typing into the Command Prompt. First, get a command prompt opened to the folder where your tool is. The ROM file should be in the same folder. Here's a fast way to get a command prompt...

Usually, to run a command prompt exe, you simply type the name of the exe file and press enter. I don't know this specific tool. Read the document that came with it.
