Super Mario Kart - The Stig Edition
« on: December 24, 2015, 11:21:25 am »
Some say...  Mario called upon him to test the original beta version of Super Mario Kart in 1992.  All we know is, he's called THE STIG!

Super Mario Kart - The Stig Edition Mods
The Stig : complete with podium and text updates
Jesus as Lakitu : complete with stone signage
Weapons Upgrades : upgraded mushroom icons, poop has replaced the banana, transparent top display
150CC unlock : unlocked for a speed worthy of The Stig
Nintendo Logo : updated opening logo
Tracks Update : a few tracks added from other roms and a few classics edited

I've put a ton of time into this project!  I have been working on this project for the past few months as a small segment of an arcade build for my boys for Christmas.  Eventually i'll share pictures of the actual arcade build, i'm super happy with how it's turned out and can't wait for my boys to open this gift tomorrow!  I grew up playing Super Mario Kart and to this day it has to be my favorite game of all time.  I hope to share this project with all of you.

Here is a picture of the full build that I put together for my kids.  Needless to say it was a fantastic nostalgic Christmas!

For the love of flying Jesus please submit this.  :)

But seriously, submit it. From the pics I'm seeing some damn fine pixel art that make me want to get back into a game I used to play the HELL out of as a kid growing up in the 90's.

Donkey Kong chucking poop at you during a race = fucking. AWESOME.

Like Super Mario Land? Then you'll love my first completed Rom Hack: Maniac on the Run!
