Did you try pushing all the walls as well as cola-ing? I found a secret exit in one lab that way. And someone in the game told me every meth lab has at least one exit... I also learned you can't get pregnant from buttsex.

True words of wisdom right there.  ;)

Anyway, I'm about to go check Meth Lab 3 again, since I happened to find two pieces of Iowa to extend my Iowa containers and a shitload of cash from hussling pigs.

The exit from Meth Lab #3 (Geode) is located

to the left of the starting point.

The (optional) Item is

Meth Lab #4 (Handgun).

Oh, if you're still playing the 1.00 version, be forewarned of the extra boss towards the end of Meth Lab #4.

Dude, your prescience is almost scary! Those stupid walkway tiles were the very last thing I tried fixing prior to the initial release. I considered #3C and #3D, but decided against it due to the nature of Obvious Solutions at Late Stages of Production usually being pitfalls in disguise. Now that I have more time, I'm going to revisit that possibility.

I may need to call on your artistic abilities for my next major project.

Quote from: Chpexo on April 22, 2015, 11:56:06 PMI don't have any screenshots, but at one of the areas where there's a fairy that restores your life, there is a black sun graphic. Something seems to be off about the blinking animation as some tiles don't flash with the other tiles. Is this intentional?

Nope! I fixed that for the most recent update: Version 1.10 IPS

QuoteAnd someone in the game told me every meth lab has at least one exit... I also learned you can't get pregnant from buttsex.

Both pieces of advice are 100% accurate. (Meanwhile, I've learned that I'm part of an odd minority group...)

That's bizarre. I'd thought that standing in the middle of a double-entrance wouldn't trigger the "going down stairs" sequence in the original game, either. But I just tried it with Level 6 and Link went right on down. Both games utilize the same tile values for the relevant metatile (#F3's on top and #24's on bottom), and the game assigns collision action/response at the tile-level.

I'm honestly stumped!  :o

At least the Indian Corn looks nice...

As far as I've ever known, standing in the middle of a double-wide entrance like that doesn't cause you to enter a cave. Unless maybe it's different between PRG0 and PRG1.

Congratulations, Floppy!

To everyone else, I am Rotwang, current webmaster of BaddestHacks. This hack was meant to be exclusive to BHDN so that we could pull more visitors and restore our community (This is not an advertisement, I am just establishing who I am so that the rest of this post makes sense). I just want to chime in and say that I am really quite disappointed that not only has this website hosted this hack without permission, but that the administrators here have taken no action to remove the hack, allowing over 100 people to download a broken version of it that does not reflect Floppy's vision for his 7-years-in-the-making magnum opus. This is also pulling visitors away from our recently relaunched website. I'd like to see the administrators take some initiative and respect our community's right to have an exclusive hack. You guys really stole our thunder. Please do the right thing. Thank you.

If it's any consolation, finding the hack here  enticed me to check BHDN out and join the forums. I've read some incredibly funny shit over there,  and I plan on spending some more tiime over there once I know the problems  with something I'm working on are ironed out.

Shit, after I'm done my current project, I wouldn't mind channling all my pent up vulgarity and borderline racism into something for BHDN, since now I know there's a place that's all about it.

Also.  I find your name to be quite hilarious,  and the highlight of my day.

Anyhow.....

Thanks for the info about Meth lab three, Dr.Floppy. Seems I need to scour the countryside for Meth Lab 4.   :)

Haha, yes! By all means, make a Bad Hack and submit it. The process is cathartic. However I do acknowledge that our site is not for everyone.

My name (pronounced ROTE-vahng) comes from the antagonist of the 1928 movie Metropolis. It's German for "red cheeks"

But to reiterate, I'm glad you found our site through this thread. My problem is that some admin here uploaded a broken version of the hack to RHDN on behalf of Floppy for whatever reason, and they are taking their sweet time to remove it. This is preventing people like you from finding out about our site that caters to a niche that this one doesn't (and historically has refused to) and is also muddying the waters by spreading a broken version around. I can't tell you how annoyed we get when YouTubers review old broken versions of our hacks! I'm sure you guys can at least sympathize with that.

Yes, that's the only one really hidden with any degree of seriousness. Do take the Hint from ML3 regarding its whereabouts literally...

Hi Rotwang. Welcome to RHDN.  :)

If you take another look at the hack's page here on RHDN you'll see the page now links to baddesthacks. RHDN is community maintained. What happened is that another user submitted the hack and, unfortunately, we had no way of knowing it was not supposed to be distributed. An edit was submitted to replace the download link with a link to baddesthacks. Unfortunately, sometimes the gears turn slowly at RHDN. Just know that there was no ill intent.

It's all cool, yo! Accidents happen, and honest mistakes get forgiven.

The Karma Rabbit visited me not one hour ago, wherein I discovered the most recent patch actually made a major problem even worse. But, only if another item wasn't in the inventory! (Which is why I missed it Friday night- all of my test files had that particular item.)

So, yeah. Anyone with the 1.10 revision won't be able to collect Iowa Pieces without the Kevlar Vest. I strongly advise upgrading to Version 1.11 at the earliest convenience.

Edit: Ugh, now it's reverting Iowa Piece status to that of the last Save every time Farmer Bob transitions between Overworld and Underworld. This is maddening! (Expect another emergency update tonight.)

Quote from: Chpexo on April 26, 2015, 09:10:27 PMDr. Floppy, have you considered releasing a seizure friendly version of the hack for our epileptic friends? For me, the flashing lights hurt my eyes a little bit, but of course the save error is your main priority.

Yeah, that's a good idea! Once I get the hack in a stable form, I'll do a Seizure-Friendly Edition™.

Is it just the Meth Lab blacklight rooms, or are there other items of issue (the title screen, the overworld sun, Molly's kiosk, the "Eye of Illinois", etc.)?
