What do you all think? The N64 is a much more complicated machine than the SNES or Game Boy--but Ocarina is one of the most-torn-apart games out there, after SMW, Red/Blue, maybe SMB 1 or 3 or SM64. (Probably there's other games that have been more hacked, I just don't know much outside Nintendo first-party.)
Does anyone know of an exploit that gets the CPU to jump into any non-program RAM? There should be enough bytes in inventory RAM to write a small bootloader, but getting execution there in the first place might be impossible.
Of course, if I got Total Control, I would write in a new cutscene--with custom MOCAP'd animations and custom music--so we can finally put those rumors from 15 years ago to rest: we would show that, with an unmodified ROM and just with controller input, Link can get the Triforce in Ocarina of Time.
