It's a good thing I played through it again on a live stream on Twitch. I was able to find the last few errors remaining and corrected them. Version 1.94 has been submitted for approval.

There's something I would really like to see added to any definitive addition of FFIV and that's asking the FF4 Free Enterprise team to standalone release their Item Stat text upgrades. The work they have done looks nigh official, it is really a sight to behold. If they would be willing to let other hacks borrow that, then I think that a lot of ambiguity in equipment would be immediately gone.

That would be interesting to see. I know they've done a LOT of stuff under the hood with it that is quite impressive. Namingway Edition has, thanks to chillyfeez, longer item descriptions for everything except weapons and armor.

Anyway, Version 1.94 is approved and ready for download!

I've never tried FE, but there is this:

And riffing on the item description expansion I worked on for Namingway, I was able to do this:

I see, while not as flashy as Free Enterprise, what you and Crow have made is more than serviceable and in Crow's case, changes to the stats before they are made, which Free Enterprise doesn't do.

I'll post a couple screenshots to compare how Free Enterprise handles it.

Hey Rodimus, 8.bit.fan just alerted me that the Adamant Armor bug fix is only partially implemented in Project II (and I assume Namingway Edition as well). Here's how to fix it:

It's just 2 bytes:
(with header)
at 19C82, change from F0 07 to EA EA.
Check out and discuss my projects

Very cool thanks! I just updated it now and it has been submitted for approval.

Edit - Version 1.95 is now up for download. While its a simple fix, it goes a long way!

Hey hey,
I am not sure if this was fixed in the most recent version (my boyfriend is using 1.94), but we found a typo in Giott's script after finishing the Sealed Cavern:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoDPCwrGd70vrDNYTVtwUfMEsYDW

Giott says: "He (Mysidia Elder) prays? If must be for the Lunar Whale!"
If has to be 'it', I'm pretty sure.

Version 1.95 is just for that bug fix for the Adamant Armor, but I did find that error and corrected it just now. If you find ANY further typos, let me know so I can release an update right away.

Up to this point we've not found any (good job), but bf hasn't progressed much further (there's not much left though).

Is it intentional that Dark Bahamut (from Lunar Subterranean) is called Wyvern? In original US FF4 he's called that, but in later editions he's called Dark Bahamut.

I think spacing was an issue with that name. I could name him DBahamut, but that wouldn't look right. I think that's why I chose to stick with Wyvern. It was one that I know I tried to make fit.

Hmm, may I suggest Tiamat? To be honest, Wyvern sounds very 'regular enemy' for one of the strongest bosses in the game. Dark Bahamut is called Tiamat in Final Fantasy VIII. Of course, this does cause a name collision with another Tiamat from the series, however.

I don't think that would work since that's not what the monster is. However, I could call him DkBahmut, as a shorthand name. I looked over the letters in the text space again, just to be sure that I didn't have anything that could work since I don't have any more space available for additional characters. If I did, I could create an (aha) as two tiles, but I don't have that option open. I am leaning toward that shorthand name for the time being, unless something else could be done.

Thirteen 1355

Yeah, DkBahmut is easy to read/process and still makes clear what kind of creature it's supposed to be. Better than Wyvern, in my opinion.

Timbo

If not Dark Bahamut, why not Shinryu? He's basically the same character and is usually associated with the Ragnarok.

The monster's name in Japanese is ダークバハムート so it's literally Dark Bahamut. It was only called Wyvern in FFII because of spacing. I am going with DkBahmut since I only have 8 characters to name him with.

Version 1.95a has been submitted for approval.

Heaven Piercing Man

Found a typo right at the start! When Baigan hands the crystal to the King.

I guess it should be "It's genuine, my liege."

It's not though. He is addressing the king directly. It's a royal title and therefore should be capitalized.

Yeah, but it's spelled liege, not leige

Right. I missed that. It will be fixed. I don't believe that there were other times in the game My Liege was used, but I'll do a quick scan through and release an update right away.
