Can anyone help get me the graphics extracted from BS Zelda Maps 1 and 2? I've tried to use the program for that, but it since I'm running Windows 8 (64-bit OS) it won't work, because it requires something below (probably 32-bit, maybe even lower OS). If anyone can do this for me and send a link, I'll greatly appreciate it.

If a program targets 32-bit Windows, it should run on 64-bit Windows. Are you using ast_decode.exe (seen here)? It's a command-line program. Are you running it from a command prompt? The source is included as well.

Then it must be for a 16-bit OS then, because I've tried to run it, and it failed. I did run it from command prompt, and it still didn't work. And no, I'm not using ast_decode because that's for the Ancient Stone Tablets games, I'm talking about the graphics for the BS Zelda Maps 1 and 2 (the SNES remakes of the original game).

You're much more likely to get useful help if you specify which program you're using, where you got it, and what you mean by "it won't work" (Does it crash? Error message? Does it not load at all?).

It's called "romview," and I found it on the BS Zelda's homepage. And the error says that I can't run the program because I'm running a 64-bit OS, and it needs something lower.

I don't think you need ROMview. Judging from its readme, it's not an extractor like the one for AST, it's just a very old tile viewing tool. It won't get you anything that you can't get with one of the standard tile viewers.

Oh, alright. Thanks for the help!  :D
But, if anyone does somehow manage to get the graphics extracted into a .bin file, please send them to me.

Well, I wasn't sure how I should say it, but the point was, you shouldn't need any help. The graphics are uncompressed and easily viewable. Did you first try looking at the BS Zelda ROMS in a tile editor?

Yeah, never mind, I opened the ROM in YY-CHR, and like you said, it was uncompressed and I could access most of the graphics. Thanks! :D
