Hey Guys
Newbie to this forum. Somehow I stubbled on this rom hack page and really want to play some hacks on my Everdrive MD cartridge.  I downloaded several hacked games however they have a .ips format which is not a recognized format for the overdrive.  I tried to rename the ext to .bin but it does not work.  Can anyone advise how to rename these files or convert them to work?? (I am on a mac if that means anything.) I would greatly appreciate it as I would love to play these great games!!!  Great site and very cool stuff going on here.....

Hello there!

.ips file are patch files - all they contain is information on what to change in the original rom file (.bin or .smd). You need a patch program to apply the patch to a Rom in order for it to work.
The utilities section has quite a few programs that will do just that:
