Yeah, it's very unlikely that Nintendo will "shut this down", since it's just a patch. Sure, that didn't stop Square from shutting down a ton of Chrono Trigger patches, but AFAIK, Nintendo has never done anything like that.

Heck, then again, Square still hasn't noticed that the source code to Thief, Thief 2, and System Shock 2 is out there, even after the binaries were recompiled and released! (they own Eidos)

yep. this is the biggest game event that is happening in retro game hacking.

There is no equivalent it's like I would need to smoke DMT and die like in the movie Enter The Void it forces you to ask what kind of Metroid hack will there be in the year 2025.

I can think of one that will be almost as good but not as good as Rogue Dawn even though it's not even released yet.

You are forgetting about the Conker/A Link to the Past hack that is going into beta this month and should be out before the end of the year. Both will be amazing.

Good news is that this won't be affected by C & D's because this isn't a remake but a hack and they tend to be safe from the legal BS than remakes are.

I just wanted to make a quick announcement, as part of the last minute extras Optomon has been working on customizing the game sounds!  So far everything is sounding pretty awesome!  He pretty much has them completed at this point with maybe a few minor tweaks to polish a few of them up.
