Perhaps the beta-testers should get the final product a couple days early if possible, just a thought. And, no, I was not a beta tester  :P

Optomon, your PM in-box was full so I sent you an email with an updated file.  Disregard version 1B, all of the required changes are in version 1C - (includes all ASM and level design corrections).

Grimlock, I have to say congratulations. You've busted your tail making this thing, and I bet it's gonna be great. You seriously deserve a pat on the back and a strong drink to take the edge off. Or like, a soda or a refreshing tea if that's more your thing.

I posted this thread to a swedish facebookgroup thats about selling/buying and discussing retro games. Lets just say that the hype is there! :D

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone!  We're working hard to get through the last few steps to achieve a zero bug high polish release!  This is a very complex piece of work so you can imagine the list of items we have worked out over the last month (since beta testing) has been impressive.  We're literally down to the last item, nothing game breaking, just the last item in order to achieve our target goal of perfection.

Thanks for all your support, we appreciate it!   :)

Since we're this close to release I wanted to share a few pictures of some of my design papers.  Really this is just to give a small glimpse at how much effort and complexity went into planning and designing this game.  There's an immensely larger collection of digital files as well from the various stages of development (2,833 files in the Rogue Dawn folder).  This is just for the level design portion, I'm sure Snarfblam and Optomon have an impressive stack of design documents (physical or digital) comparable or greater to my own.

These pictures really don't do the actual number of sheets justice, it's about 1/2" thick (just measured it  ;)):

(Hover over "spoiler" to show pictures, click images to enlarge.  Note: There's no game spoilers in the pictures that I am aware of).

The final picture shows the complexity behind the construction of the slopes as required to integrate Snarfblams slope detection system.

(Let me know if you guys are interested in this sort of thing (design documents and such), if so I'll consider posting more stuff after our release)
