If you edited the opening text, you know it is used as a copy-protection check in the final level (of the Famicom version, apparently)?

Really?  I didn't play it that far yet.  I'll make a version where you can't die and see what happens when I get that far.

It does. He tampered with the Sunsoft copyright, and it's the Japanese version.
You're in for a nasty surprise in the last secret level :P
As a fix (that's how the AP was disabled by Sunsoft for the PAL release) you could change the byte at 20035 from AA to FE.
