"Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals EasyType" Problem.
« on: December 23, 2013, 09:43:37 pm »
Hey guys,

I can't seem to get this patch to work. http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/835/
After patching, the game boots up fine but when i gain control of Maxim i check his equipment and i only have the default gear.
On the utility side i first used Tush to remove the ROM header, then i used Luna IPS to patch the ROM.
Has anyone managed to get this to work?

Cheers.

Try it both with and without a header (using an unpatched ROM each time), since the readme doesn't seem to specify.

Even though I personally find this patch a bit unneeded
Spoiler:
with the 4x EXP/Gold "RETRY" mode you unlock when you beat the game once
But I understand JCE likes playing his RPGs ultra-easy. :)

The IPS is intended to be patched to an unheadered rom.  My apologies if I missed putting it in the readme.  After the Xmas holiday I will correct and upload the readme as well as recreate the ips patch.

It's not that I like my RPG's easy it's there is a market for making easier RPG patches.  I get requests all the time to my email asking for these types of patches.  :)
