This is an automated message generated by ROMhacking.net's RHDNBot.

The following Translations have been submitted and approved to the database (in submitted order oldest to newest):

Surprisingly, we have a lot of Spanish translated games, and rarely games translated in Korean! Even rarer, an English translated PSP game!

I messaged the author of the PSP Itadaki Street translation, suggesting he submit it. He said he had tried before and was turned down because of where he uploaded the patch--glad to see it got accepted this time :) I had gotten back into the spirit of Itadaki Street games and discovered there were some big updates for the PSP translation!

I hear the DS Itadaki Street has some good work on it as well, but nothing publicly released. At least now we have playable patches for the PS2 and PSP versions of the game, as well as the localized Fortune Street on the Wii. I've even heard there's a new Android/ios version out now, though like the first few games in the series, it has no mascots :(

Not to be a debbie downer or shit on a translation for just one measly screenshot, but that font spacing is Shatner-esque. Really bizarre to see.

Most likely, the font is still 16x16 or whatever Japanese glyph dimensions, with no ASM hack to make it smaller/better. Combinations of lower-case letters in one glyph, but some letters (likely upper case) still are not in combinations, and symbols like space and punctuation is certainly not included in a combination with a letter, making their width that of a Japanese character, and as a result the spacing is all weird.
That's the first thing I noticed actually.
It was a project relying heavily on machine-translation too accordinhg to its description, the font is the least of our worries :3

qft. It's a pretty glaring flaw in an otherwise impressive accomplishment :/

My guess is lack of debuggers or documentation for PSP?
I'm sure it'd look great if someone could fix that.

That's not a problem on PSP. PPSSPP has a debugger that, in my biased opinion, surpasses even no$gba. There's also plenty of documentation out there, helped by the fact that everaything really low level is abstracted by sony libraries.

It may be more likely a lack of experience on the part of the translator; something some veterans in communities like this are taking for granted.

Yeah but to be fair you only added that debugger recently. :P

It's been there ever since the first release last november, just much less developed. Compatibiltiy was probably an issue at that time though.
