Looking for translators
« on: October 23, 2013, 06:35:52 pm »
Hello,

I've studied a Genesis game. I extracted the script (at least most of it), I know how to reinsert it, I deciphered the graphics compression routines and wrote a compressor,so I can reinsert a latin font.

All I need now is japanese speaking people to translate it in English.

Can I upload the script in the Script Help and Language Discussion forum to see if there are people interested ? Or is it not the aim of this forum ?

By the way, the game is Psy-O-Blade (I don't think it was ever translated in any language).

You can just upload portions of it to the Script Help Forum and various translators (myself included) will help you out when we can.

You could also submit a help wanted ad. It looks like you've already covered a lot of the bases, which goes a long way in convincing others to help with a project.

Yeah, I'd recommend a help wanted ad given that the game has a bit of text I imagine with it being a text adventure and all. The script help forum is better suited for smaller amounts of text, not big old scripts.

I've just made one. I just wonder if it'll have the same visibility than a post in the forum...

When the ad will be available, I'll make a post in the Script Help forum to ask for a translation of the introduction and the first dialogues (for testing my reinserter script), it'll be the occasion to point towards the ad :)

I hope I won't be violating anything doing this ?  :police:
