Submitting URL zip file for hack? What am I doing wrong?
« on: November 01, 2013, 12:16:17 am »

The value 'https://www.dropbox.com/s/bapfn5kzihl8uum/FF%20Otherworld.zip' is not a valid URL. It MUST be a full URL!

Why is this not valid as a url?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bapfn5kzihl8uum/FF%20Otherworld.zip

To create DropBox direct links:
- you need to create a folder named Public in your DropBox folder
- put the files in that folder
- now the url must be: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/.../FILENAME.EXT
- change https to http

Change https to http and www to dl.

Maybe this info should be somewhere in the "how to submit a file" description.

Probably. Ideally, the site should be updated to support https. Sometimes these things move a bit slowly.
