I really enjoy Friday the 13th

But I think the game should b a little more suspenseful...

I mean its Jason after all!

Any Ideas????

Friedslick6

Screechy build-up music, screen flashes and "possessed" text.
Were you planning on doing any hacking?

I love it all good ideas

hmmmm Not sure yet... Woulden't know what to do if I hacked the game..

I mean the game is already a classic in its own right...

I've always wanted to see this game redone with added features, first & foremost being able to throw your projectiles while jumping.

A different map would also be nice.

I should've made a list; I know I had a bunch of things I wanted to see (some easy to hack, some not).

Edit: Okay, remembered some of them (made pictures, too! :o)

It was always annoying only seeing stuff when it was right in front of you - it'd be nice if we could've seen people standing wherever they were.  Likewise...

No more having to scavenge for those stupid letters.  Of course, this is all wishful thinking!

There is an unknown person in this cabin.

Who is that? (Again, wishful thinking)

I once had a dream I was playing 4-player Friday the 13th (but it was actually a 3D newer-gen game).

And here's the most wishful thinking of all!

Among the things that are probably easy to hack:

-longer days
-not losing your machete if you touch a knife
-less of Jason attacking the children (I thought Jason didn't kill children?) & more attacking the counselors &...
-more sudden appearances of Jason during sidescrolling scenes (or maybe not :-\)

Instead of lighting fires in the fireplaces, you get to steal loaves of bread from ovens..?

You could
1. Fix the sprites as well as make Jason's look in the game more source accurate
2. Possibly rework the game to make it less painful but more eerie (in a good way)

Googie

These are all pretty cool ideas, I'd love to see this happen!

Indeed. As Friday the 13th just passed us, I found myself wishing that people would hack the hell out of this game.

It might happen in time for Halloween

This game is just BEGGING for a definitive hack. It's a lot more complex than most people realize...

I feel that if enough of us take the time to leave offerings at a shack in the woods for Jason's mom, it will happen.

Even just a longer kid death timer would be a vast improvement in the game's playability.  I think this game has that classic 'correct difficulty... for the game's development team who memorized the map' problem.

I will never forget the day that my brother called me up from his friend's house and told me about this game. As I walked briskly through the neighborhoods to go over and check it out, I was picturing the game in my mind, which played like Double Dragon with the Player controlling Jason! It looked really cool in my imagination, pretty much on par with a 16-bit arcade game.

When I arrived at Gabriel's house and saw the actual game... it was a huge let down...

But the game grew on me slowly since then. I really like QuestMaster's ideas and feel they need to make into a revamped version of this title.

QuestMaster has some neat ideas, if anything - the game needs a overhaul hack
even going so far is making a source accurate sprite of Jason

A few things a lot of people don't know about this game:

* The individual camp counselors all have varying strengths and weaknesses. Alas, this discrepancy wasn't optimized for maximal impact on the final game.

* Jason is always -somewhere-. And he doesn't just magically warp from place-to-place. He wanders from Point A to Point B, just like everybody else.

* One can always determine their direction outdoors by assuming that the "camera" is "outside" the perimeter, pointed inward.
