Help Needed with SMB3

I am making a hack where I include the lost levels of SMB3 with the regular ones, that part is finished. I also added the Japanese affects of Kuribo's shoe, and the level differences between the two region versions, this too is finished.

Now, I need some help adding the iris-in affects before a stage starts. I would like to make a routine in my hex editor, using a JMP ($20), if there is not enough space. If anybody would like to help and figures a routine out, then please let me know. I'll be glad to include you in my Readme. Thank you.
