Quote from: Heaven Piercing Man on July 11, 2019, 10:38:00 PMBlame FF9 for turning トランス toransu into Trance instead of Trans(form). Square made Trance the official term everywhere else.
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 11, 2019, 10:23:23 PMThose spell names have now been fixed. Dead is now KO and Seizure is now Sap. I'm not so sure about the Warp Stone though. Telepo Stone does look a little strange even if that is was VII did. The description does say that it has the same effect as Teleport.
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 11, 2019, 10:23:23 PMHowever, X-Magic and Morph are remaining the same. X-Magic is just as recognizable as Dualcast and fits the space.
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 11, 2019, 10:23:23 PMTrance doesn't make much sense. She morphs into esper form. I also believe that it supposed to be short for transform. トランス
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 11, 2019, 10:52:19 PMThis is one I strongly object to. Woolsey got it right with Morph. It's like the Ogrenix (Ogre Nix as he did it).
Quote from: Dzumeister on July 12, 2019, 12:35:16 AMIncorrect plural here. Should also be is instead of are since the verb is referring to power.Yes, the espers' power is too great.
Quote from: BlazeHeatnix on July 12, 2019, 01:45:33 AMI re-shortened the menu form of RisingPhnx using squish tiles. I'm not really suggesting you do this, but since "Fenix" is another word for Phoenix, I think it's a nice alternative.
Quote from: BlazeHeatnix on July 12, 2019, 01:28:57 PMI think I've exhausted everything related to names of spells, monsters, skills, items, commands and statuses...but, one last thing.Crusader.https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Crusader_(summon)This summon only appears in FF6, and its Japanese name is Jihad. Due to censorship, it was changed to Crusader and I'm certain that after 9/11 Slattery sure as hell wasn't going to change it back. This raises a question though. If this hack is to uncensor the script, is it right to uncensor this summon's name? Or would it be too insensitive in this case? If you choose not to uncensor it, you might want to make a note about it in the readme.
Quote from: BlazeHeatnix on July 12, 2019, 02:01:24 PMUnderstandable. I found a couple other things. The canon name is actually just "Seraph", not Seraphim. The Japanese says "Seraphim", but Seraphim is the plural form of Seraph, so it really should just be Seraph. "MidgardSormr" also has an unnecessarily capitalized S.Mog's Dances could use descriptions like the GBA port has.EDIT: Uh-oh. What's going on here?
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 12, 2019, 02:53:11 PMOr you changed a name in one section that overwrote something that is now in a different place in the ROM.
Quote from: vivify93 on July 12, 2019, 07:48:55 PMMaybe be cute about it and call it a Magishard? I think Magic Shard or just Magicite would've worked imo
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 13, 2019, 10:36:16 PMThe item was called just Magicite in the SNES and PS1 versions. It is supposed to be Magicite Shard but there's not enough room to display it. Same with Teleport Stone. Personally I think leaving them as they are (Magicite and Warp Stone) works for the most part. The items descriptions explain well enough what they do, especially now since the proper spell, Teleport, has been fixed.
Quote from: BlazeHeatnix on July 13, 2019, 11:18:14 PMI mean, I guess. It's just that "Warp Stone" implies it has something to do with Warp, not Teleport.Either way, I can't manage to edit this in FF3usME without that error occurring. And I already saved it, so changing it back to "Magicite" doesn't fix the issue. So that sucks.
Quote from: Rodimus Primal on July 14, 2019, 10:32:43 AMI opted for TelportStone. The missing e isn't so obvious and it's the official name. July 14, 2019, 07:06:39 PM - (Auto Merged - Double Posts are not allowed before 7 days.)Okay, so I know Dzumeister might still be playing through 2.03, but I wanted this next round of updates to be available (and in the case that he does not find anything else in need of correction). Version 2.05 has been submitted for approval.
