-MidgardSormr [...] corrected to Midgardsormer

The standard English spelling for the Norse name (and current localization used by Squeenix) is Midgardsormr; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%B6rmungandr.

Thanks to all your hard work on this!

Thanks. That's been corrected in the latest version.

hello! I'm new here but I just wanted to ask if anyone else is having problems with Patch Version 2.06. when I enter a battle in the beginning I get stuck at a black screen with the battle music.

Did you use an unheadered Final Fantasy III (1.0) (U) ROM? That might be causing your issue.

tidusleon

when I tried it the game wouldn't even load the game, might be the emulator though.

Just beat this game and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Harder than I imagined, even with that hard opener. I want to thank you guys for making such a superb hack. I would like to donate to for the team's efforts if possible. Thanks again for the wonderful game.

Just a minor question, where and how can I use the music player? I couldn't figure it out, thanks!

Have you tried Snes9x or Bsnes?

Bonesy

more like have they checked headers, they didn't specify if they did or not

The Music Player has 3 options. It can either alter the Main Menu or the Config Menu so that its accessible. Just select the song and it will play.

As for donations, that's not something done with projects here on the site, as far as I know. This was labor of love.

That would most likely be the cause of the issue. If it does have a header, programs like Tush can fix that.

jumpercable

Sorry If I offended anyone, this is my childhood final fantasy game and I want to thank the team for letting me enjoy it.
Also, Thanks for the help on the Music Player, I actually didn't patch it in.

Hey I just started a playthrough of your latest version and noticed in the intro scene Biggs and wedge say "I heard she fried 50 of our agitek Armored soldiers..."
This is probably supposed to be "I heard she fried 50 of our Magitek armored soldiers..." as it is in the gba version.

The capital M is missing from Magitek, and armored is unnecessarily capitalized. Magitek Armor the A should be capitalized, but when describing the soldiers and using the word armored, you're now no longer talking about the specific title of armor, just that they have it on, so I'd go no capitalization like the other versions.

I just checked all 6 of my ROMS to make sure this wasn't on my end. Are you sure you are using the right ROM? It must be an UNHEADERED Final Fantasy III (U)(1.0). Many people make the mistake of using 1.1, Rev-A, or a ROM with a header.

I do not see the missing M, but the capital A has been there from the original localization and was kept for consistency. However I may change it slightly if need be.

Hey thanks for the reply, I just checked and I did use a Final Fantasy III (U)(1.0) ROM, but I just went and repatched with a fresh ROM and it displays the M properly. The first ROM must not have been unheadered or had something else patched on it.

Sorry for bugging you unnecessarily. I'm excited to playthrough it now!

I was about to chime in and verify that everything is as it should be for that problem, but you figured it out.

Finally started playing this after adding it to SNES Classic two years ago!

Why not make Mythril Swrd into MythrilSword? Like MythrilKnife.

This project has been updated quite a bit over the past two years. You would be greatly served by creating a new rom based on the latest update and uploading it to your SNES Classic.  Speaking of, I should do that myself..

Chrysologus

Oh, I did update it before I actually started playing this week.

Oh, sorry about that. Based on your post it seemed like you were using a version from two years ago.

I think that was done because it looked better among other swords. I don't think I've changed that since I started the project once I made the names the same as modern translations.
