Is this game like impossible to beat? I can't get passed the antlion cave and head on to mt hobs. there's this freakin crystal in my way. I'm really curious to know how this game resembles the first.

I don't really know how that's done.. It must be some "idk how you would figure this out" type of deal. Don't you just hate it when games make you need a guide in order to advance through the plot?

I figured out what you're supposed to with help on some pirate forum. You're supposed to backtrack to kaipo and talk to rosa. Idk how you're supposed to figure that out. You didn't do that in the first game! Also, at kabul, there was no epic battle gauntlet instead there was some enemy from FF3 >.< and then it just went straight to the crystal room. Then, you HAVE to lose the fight with kain and it even says: "gameover" but then you advance through the plot? O.o. I know in the first game you did that but no game over screen. Then, with the boat ride to idk what place, leviathan didn't show up. Maybe he did in the dialog I just couldn't read it. Then, you reach some place and theres a cave and a town thats a bitch to enter. So I just skipped that town and went to mount ordeals and I was stuck in limbo land so I tried to enter mysidia and finally made it in then I got the new wizards and headed back and faced milon and then got my ass kicked by the dark knight and apparently they just couldnt give me the paladin with cure magic so I would be able to heal. Yeah, I wasted all my potions :P. Then, back at the town, everyone said the same thing and I couldn't buy items to protect myself >.>. So the only way of getting through is by either restarting or by hacking the game. And there is no way in hell I'm restarting it.

It sounds like this game is in need of nearly as much hacking work as the FFVII NES game...maybe more, if someone with enough understanding of the engine could alter events a bit.

This game does pretty well with the sprite art work. But yeah, this game needs some help. We should start with an English translation and a more easy battles. That final boss was insane!
