Hello everyone,

I would like to create a way to extract voice from Final Fantasy X PAL PS2. I know it exists others apps doing that such as PSound etc. But I would like to understand how these apps work.

I know all sectors where found voice (look at pic below). But I dont know how to extract them correctly. When I tried to copy and paste the hexadecimal code of one voice stream into a new hexadecimal file and put an .XA or .STR extension, VLC can't play this file. I tried also others players.

I would like also to know what is the extension of the audio-voice used in FFX.

When I extract one voice sector with HxD Editor, what I have to do to play this.

Looks definitively like Sony's VAG audio format. Using XA or STR extensions on VLC isn't going to produce much.

Do you know how can I convert this VAG audio format to .WAV format ?
