This game looks pretty cool. I tried using yychr to drop a roman alphabet into it but it didn't do anything.

I have little to no idea what I'm doing, but I do think this game is worth trying to get something going on.

Alright, I'll tell you what I know.

The first possibility is that the font is compressed.

The second possibility is that the font uses this custom format native to the PCE most tile editors don't support. I don't fully understand it myself, but I recall FEIDAN supports it.

Is this going to fuck up my computer? It sounds pretty messy.

I don't think that's it. i know i didn't bother with Fedian when I tried hacking necromancer. I found the font just fine in that game. I think it's a matter of not knowing enough about the way TG 16 works in general. Then again City Hunter could just be evil. Take your pick.

PHP is/was a web-coding language.
Basically, FEIDIAN is provided as a source code, and the PHP program is needed to read that source code and run it.
I've used FEIDIAN before with no issue.

I think byuu's program "mosaic" was intended as a replacement, though I haven't used it (different format, just as I was getting used to FEIDIAN's).

I'm pretty sure I found the font, but it won't display properly. I'm fairly confident it is compressed or uses that special PCE format.

Have you tried messaging Spinner 8? He said Die Hard had a funky semi compressed text format. Maybe he'd be able to help. And I saw Vectrex has also submitted a die hard trAnslation that could possibly be for the tg-16 maybe he might have some answers too.

There's frozenutopia, a IRC channel you could try. It's where all the PCE guys hang out at, but they probably won't be able to help you if the games requires some programming and ASM work.
