I just went through my hack and changed it back to the original game's font.

i.e. Before...

...And After.

There was significant text editing (i.e. the entire script) to get this to look right, so I'm thinking it should be submitted as a new version. The problem is I have no idea what to call the new version. How is this determined?

Why not just update your old entry with the new one with an updated version number? As hack creator you are in power, you decide how others shall view it. I f you feel it looks better now then that's how it should be.

Spooniest

Um...no, you haven't grasped the depths of my stupidity.

What's next? 4.1? 4.01? 4.0.1? 5? Or do I just get to decide?

Excuse me, this is the internet.  You don't have the right of personal direction with your project.
Now, sit back and wait for the flame war to ensue over the political and cultural significance of these different version numbering systems.  As moral decline sets in and it degenerates into discussion about how stupid each culture is relative to the stupidity of culture in general, you break down and just submit it as an entirely new entry.

Zynk

You can submit it as a Addendum if its an improvement of an old submission (for the sake of keeping the old version)?

Personally I'd say
- If you did a major change go to the next integer
- If you did a minor change increase by 0.1
- If you did a very minor change increase by 0.01 or add a letter next to the previous version.

Personally I'd say release it as an alternate version assuming the gameplay's identical to the previous Stand Guard release, and let people pick their font of choice.

The problem with that is that I had to edit the script in places, to make sure the text didn't overflow into a trailing page. A lot of lines were changed, so it's technically not the same script as 4.0.

And I prefer this font; it goes along with the Menu Font, and changing the two pixels of space after every letter to one really makes it look nice.

Also, when I'm old and my eyes are ruined, I'll still be able to play it.
