I'm making a ROM hack for zamn called zamn: return to hell, and i want to make two new players, but when i downloaded tile molestor and yy-chr, the graphics were scrambled. i looked up all the tutorials, but nothing seems to fix it. any ideas?

My guess (really just a guess) is graphic compression.  I tried looking at tiles for lagrange point and it turns out all the graphics are compressed.  If you set the software to 1bpp you might be able to make out some graphics but don't bother editing it.

If it's not compressed then expect the tiles to be scrambled.  Most games re-use tiles so the graphics look like they're cut off and scrambled.  Not sure what it is in this game though.  Don't have a compy around to check.
