PCE CD image ripping utilities
« on: March 03, 2013, 02:46:25 pm »
So I'm working on a PCE CD game and right now I'm going nuts trying to extract the data tracks from the image.  Unfortunately, the one tool that was created by Nightwolve, TurboRip, doesn't seem to work on my PC (I'm guessing it's a Windows 7 thing).  Is there another PCE CD ripping utility out there?  I tried also using Turbo Engine's ripping utility and it kept crashing. :(

Also if anyone has experience with hacking PCE CD games, please let me know.  I could use some good advice. :)

EDIT: Great so I got Turbo Engine to rip the disc...  But it created empty iso files for the two data tracks.  :(  So I'm back to square one looking for a utility that can rip data from a PCE CD image or disc.

You should look for IMGBurn it's really great (not only for PCE but for CDs in general).

I've used CloneCD (seems to be one of those programs with a never-expiring "trial" nag), after ImgBurn refused to read a couple genuine PCE CDs I bought.
