That kid has a smug face... Like "Yeah, I look like a Doctor Who villain!"

...I've heard tons about Doctor Who but never actually watched any of it.

Also, Dank, you're linking to Kotaku? Is the end coming? Should I just end myself?

Nah I only linked to that article because it was the first related one that popped on Google.

Kotaku still slurps donkey testicles.

Good to know all is well with the world.

Oh, old-ish, but Valve is going to show off Team Fortress 2 with the Oculus Rift.

If this thing starts to get some steam, I may just start to get a little excited for it. I'm just scared that it may turn into that VR game thing from Spider-Man 2099... ._. (Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O'Hara, has a brother who had a drug-like addiction to the VR game)

Honestly I'd be fine at first with a VR headset and a traditional controller.  The VR headset would immerse me into the game's world, and I'd control the camera with where ever I turned my head.  Of course games would have to be first person but I'm okay with that.  I'd use the controller for movement and combat and all interaction.

From there I'd like gloves to wear or some sort of Kinect-like device; to enable the free range use of my hands in the game.  For opening doors, shooting guns, caressing nubile princesses, whatever.  Movement at that point would probably be relegated to foot pedals and I'm okay with that too.

I want VR for total immersion and blissful escapism.  And horror games in VR would be fucking ace AMIRITE I think I am.

Unfortunately, horror games in VR would not be all that great. At least, not in my experience. I usually play horror games for someone else, usually my sister, so if I end up restricting the experience to only myself, I'd really have less of a reason to play them.

...I mean, did I ever say I'm not into horror games? Because, yeah, I'm not.

Just because you're a wuss doesn't mean horror games in VR wouldn't be good.   :P

Dank, that was my reason for thinking VR Horror games wouldn't be so great for me.

I guess it would be pretty cool for some people... Personally, I think it'd be great for robot sims and fantasy games. Imagine playing Shadow of the Colossus with Oculus... All those forests and groves are beautiful to begin with... Ahh...
