Fake interview is fake.  A poor attempt at satire.
I was wondering. I'm pretty sure even Reggie isn't stupid enough to say that kinda thing as part of an interview. So many people would jump ship.

Any of you were ever daught offguard by a question or someone nakign a statement and reacted quickly only ti realize you said something stupid just to respond?

SargeSmash

Argh, just killing my comment.   I need a delete post.

Why would that be a joke? Nothing sounded too sarcastic or derogatory in that interview, aside from the blatant lack of professionalism (imo).

Is this a joke interview as well:

I didnt know eurogamer does them too?
That looks legit.  And I don't think it was all that unprofessional, just a commentary that others have tried (and failed) to jump into the handheld market.  Not sure Nvidia has what it takes, though.

I meant on eurogamer's side. It's something that's grating about other "news" sites/blogs too. They say they're putting out news but then they include their opinions on there. Unless it's specifically an opinion piece, news should be objective as possible. "Sony's CEO said this" period, no "Sony's CEO said this and that's hilarious!"

But meh. :P What is the term again? Waterslides? Waterslides.

That's because gaming journalism in general is major amateur hour and atrocious at best.

I don't need another copy and paste machine for press releases. Good journalism should always contain analysis, extrapolation and opinion. Software can put out press releases automatically into articles without anyone lifting a finger. The actual content produced by the journalists is what seperates shit sites from good sites.

Ah, my bad.  I seem to have this habit of misinterpreting your comments at times, Garoth.  And that's on me.  :P

The problem is that that isn't journalism. That's opinion writing. At least in the US, you open up a newspaper and there will be a section for opinion pieces separate from news. You can ask the populace what thinks about a certain piece of news, however, and that would still be considered news, iirc. Specially if it's the opinion of a famous person.

It could be worse, though. Could be yellow journalism...

Yep.  The extrapolation, opinion, and analysis should always be separated from the reporting, and most of the time it isn't, at least here in the States.  The primary news wire here is the Associated Press, and you see a lot of opinion that slips into the "news".  And of course that gets picked up by most local newspapers around the country, even the small-town rags.

Journalism is definitely not what it used to be, in any field.  At least gaming journalism has a bit of a built-in excuse, since they haven't been around nearly as long.  I'd love to see them improve, but most of these sites are just news aggregators, with maybe some slight rewording here and there, and some cursory analysis.  They're pretty much just blog posts.  No professionalism, just fanboys that happen to hold a "journalism" position, as Garoth was saying earlier (and I completely missed in terms of intent the first time around).

Hey, don't worry about it! XD I acknowledge that I tend to forget to proofread my writing... :( Usually, I'm sleepy or my brain is going faster than my fingers and I end up saying weird stuff...

I do the same thing.  I don't hold it against you, and you always do a good job of clarifying.  :D

I`m okay with just the facts, because I`m capable of formulating my own opinions without someone else`s biased spin.  And when I want other people`s opinions I just go to forums, because that`s what they are good for.
