After reading the translation differences, I'm still confused about the ending

If people are rid of Dracula's Curse forever (#1 and 3), then why do they need to keep praying for a hero to appear (#2)?
Spoiler
- For me, #2 sounds like he died shortly after the battle and people are freaking out because there is no peace and evil still plagues the land. It doesn't mention Dracula's death so I have to assume he is still rampaging and creating fear.

- While #3 doesn't mention Belmont dying and he is treated like a hero because Dracula and evil are seemingly nowhere to be found anymore

- And #1 sounds pretty similar to #3. Not sure which one would be a more fitting memoir for future generation story-telling

Anyone else getting 404s when trying to download from the vending machine on bisqwit's site? I wanted to replay this with the latest stable patch and unfortunately RHDN's patch is out of date (also I wanted to customize it so I still get the classic day/night transition text)

I fiddled around with my options some more and it looks like it's because I was choosing BPS instead of IPS that's causing the error.

Hello all, been playing this hack and enjoying it so far but have found an issue (I think)

I patched an MMC3 version on the correct checksum'd NTSC ROM (CRC32: A9C2C503) and loaded it up in an emulator, it booted, all good. I've subsequently put the game onto what used to be a Shadowgate cart and started playing, but I'm finding the game randomly crashes - I'm using 2.12.1.1 as advised in the vending machine.

I've gone back to the emulator and found that it does exactly the same when played for a few moments, Mesen complains about invalid opcodes and the CPU crashes. I've tried repatching an older version (2.12.1) and that does exactly the same on MMC3

Is this a known issue with MMC3?

Thank you
