Hi,

Is there anyway to fix the glitched Parallel Worlds title screen?

Thanks.

PW title screen fix

9C6 (11)
48 A9 80 85 13 8D 00 21 68 20 A1 92 A9 0F 85 13 60

old values were
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

BE3 (2)
C6 89

old values were
A1 92

I've just decoded this in hex, while making Parallel Remodel 1.1. Basically you need to open the rom in a hex editor, remove the header (32 rows at the beginning). Go to address $9C6 and replace the old values FF (block length is 11 in hex) with the upper values 48...60.

Then go to $BE3 and replace the old values A1 92 with C6 89 (this block is only 2 bytes long).

This fix can be applied to Parallel Worlds 1.0, 1.1 or Parallel Remodel 1.0 (if you can wait for 1.1 version).

Note Parallel Worlds 1.1 does not fix the title screen issue, but it fixes quite many texts.

EDIT!
After lots of testing I've concluded that this new code actually brakes the ending sequence. It will go through, but with some display bugs in the 2nd sequnce (overworld) and in the 3rd sequence the music is ahead of the picture (which might cause the game to freeze just before the "the end" message. Well, back to square1.

Here you go, this ips patch should fix the title screen issue. I do not remember who is responsible for that patch though.

I can't say though if it is the same change as puzzledude mentioned.
