Hey,

I have been working on a Castlevania III Hack now for awhile just for fun but was curious as if it was a good idea to complete for everyone else.

Basically what I have done is edited the entire game's difficulty level.

- Removed Annoying Enemies
- Removed Annoying Pit Falls
- Added Platforms To Where It Was Easy To Get Knocked Back Off A Ledge
- Start Out With More Lives Without Using The Help Me Code
- Start Out With More Hearts
- Enemies Do Less Damage And Don't Get Stronger Later On In Stages
- Removed The Auto Scroll From The Stages That Move Automatically Up Or Down
- Increased All Stages Time To 900 Seconds

That's about all I can think of at the moment.
But was not sure if this was already completed by someone else or if it's even something anyone one would bother playing.

This has already be done for Castlevania 1 :

Although I really like a easy hack, because the original is too hard especially from the Death stage, I'd like to also say this hack and other easy hacks make it now too easy. An easy-but not too easy either hack would be great.

I once made my ex-girlfriend's daughter play CV1 because she was talking shit about old games being easy.
Her cursing at the Nintendo still brings a smile to my face to this day. :)

That's awesome. Especially because that game is brutal. I'm a Castlevania maniac and I still haven't beaten that one without cheating. I can make it to about stage 4 or 5, then it gets so much more difficult all of the sudden that it starts to piss me off.

At first glance I think I only like the auto-scrolling stage change. What I would want in this game is better controls around stairs and a weapon inventory. Maybe make the doppelganger a bit easier and the alternate characters a bit more balanced, but that's pretty much it.

the doppelganger already has a 100% reliable exploit.

switch characters, attack, repeat until the fight's over.

Yeah, I guess I should've said that I know about that. But I don't like fighting him that way.
