Import Mario into Banjo-Kazooie game N64
« on: May 25, 2012, 04:25:47 am »
I was just wondering if it were possible to take Mario exactly the way he is in Super Mario 64 and import him into the Banjo-Kazooie game.

What would have to be done to accomplish this, it is feasible?

And vice versa, could you import Banjo-Kazooie into Super Mario 64?

Doesn't seem impossible to import a model of him... making him work the same might be a different story.
Who will quote me next?

BK, like most of Rare's titles, uses a different microcode variation.  SubDrag's dealt with BK much more than I have though, so try catching him at for specific data on embedding files.

Mumbo's Wand is mostly dedicated to stage design, but that said you could probably use the porting tools and a hex editor to take an imported model and replace a global character model with Mario.  Just don't expect him to use his own moveset or anything.  Animation formats are annoying to say the least.
(hoping those features are in the public beta now...)
