Pokemon Hero Edition (FR hack): SUGGESTIONS Wanted!

I've decided to embark on a mission to make a Pokemon game of the most iconic video game/fantasy/pop-culture heroes.
Naturally, I'll include all the super smash bros characters (including the pokemon), as well as some others:

Master Chief, Arbiter, Sgt. Johnson
Darth Vader, and a few other major characters.
Optimus Prime, Megatron
Digimon!
Vyse, Aika (Skies of Arcadia)
The Top Tier/most popular pokemon from Gen 1&2... and Swampert cause he's a beast.
Freddie Mercury. Someone mentioned Beatles.
Chuck Norris (you saw it coming)
Green MMPR Power Ranger, White, maybe all of them?
Knuckles, Tails
LOTR characters
Zombies from Left 4 Dead (maybe a zombie element?; may just stick with ghost).
Marvel/DC characters (I'm not a fan myself, but if people insist, I could go for a Wolverine, Spiderman, or Batman.)
Soul Calibur characters. Nightmare for sure. Definitely a few others.
Street Fighter II
the Castle Crasher Knights!!!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Final Fantasy characters (I've never played final fantasy, but every person I mentioned this idea to all wanted Seriphroth(sp?) so I figured it'll be a good idea)
Gears of War/Call of Duty characters (not familiar with either campaign story lines... Yay research!)

and A LOT LOT MORE. I would like to have a representative cast of, to be accurate, awesomeness. I would hate to imbalance the cast of characters, like too many characters from Skies of Arcadia considering it's an obscure game, so suggestions are very much welcome!

Naturally, it'll be very time consuming, because a) I go to school, and b) I want to make sure the images are all of the same style. I'd hate to throw in a cheap SMB 3 mario sprite with a 'flash-player'-esque Knuckles sprite and call it a game. I want to give you guys quality.

I intend on revamping the element system to accommodate the new characters:

Bug element will be changed to Sword element (there's a lot of sword fighters and a lot less bugs).
Steel's defenses may be nerfed, because a lot of characters will feature the Steel typing.
Dragon's defense may be changed, because I don't know if there will be a lot of Grass or Ice types.
Weakness/strengths will be altered, because there will be a lot of Fire, Fighting, Psychic, Dark, Steel, Electric, and Sword elements, and not much of anything else.
Maybe will consider including a Space element.
It's not that I don't want to feature Ice, Grass, Ghost, Poison, and Water attacks, but not many of the characters will feature those typings.
I will rename attacks and functions of those attacks, so no people will be Leech Life-ing, and a lot more attacks will be Sword attacks, Blasters, or Signature Character based (fireball for Mario and Screw Attack for Samus).
Base stats will also change for characters.

I combined the ideas of certain elements (Rock & Ground = Earth) to free up room and ushered in some new ideas (Dark effective against electricity, Ranger element created for Star Fox, Samus, and other Gunslingers.. I might call the element Gunslinger). Any ideas on how to improve it? Suggest it!

Other things to mention:

I might consider including popular secondary characters, such as Elites & Marines from Halo, Stormtroopers from Star Wars, Koopa Troopas from Mario, Metroids!
Evolutions will still be involved, perhaps Mario evolving to Fire Mario, Yoshi egg (egg would fight like a Magikarp) to Yoshi, and then to his 3 different SMW typings, and Master Chief Mk V to his Mark VI armor.

I'm not against changing plot, maps, or dialogue, but as for now those ambitions will be in the backseat as I usher in the new balance system.

See, so there's a lot of just planning that will happen. In the meantime, I will produce sprites along the way. Expect for this thread to die for months at a time, because I sadly can't work just on this. I'll try to budget work for this project to just one day a week.

As you can see, there's a lot I don't know about certain fantasy universes, such as Final Fantasy, Half-life, DC, Marvel, etc. so I welcome valid suggestions on characters, as well as any other suggestions. I hope to see this project done one day.. hopefully before the day when Master Chief isn't as popular as he is now.


I would love suggestions on game, movie series to look into; odds are everybody here loves games. What characters do YOU want to see?

Well if you want their more suggest, try Pokecommunity website.  It have alot suggest in there.  So maybe it get good chance for your help in there.    for hack spirit from other game.  I am looking forward for your hack success.

If you go the Power Ranger route, I'd suggest making the evolution chain Green -> White -> Red Zeo -> Red Turbo -> Race Car Driver -> Paleontologist -> High School Science Teacher -> Black Dino Thunder.

Feel free to cut that list down to something more interesting. >_>

Mauron, I've never played chrono trigger, and my roommate loves them; great idea! haha yeah I epic nerd when it comes to Power rangers too. Cool idea, but I may stick with just the MMPR generation (Dino thunder was an awesome series even though i was in high school xD).. with Tommy as a person, then to green to white. But I may work something else out because green ranger's a beast

Man there are some fans for the zeo and turbo huh? well, I can edit it to where, like Eevee or Poliwhirl, a character has multiple options for evolutions (thunderstone, via happiness). Green is my favorite, and I'd hate to have him evolve into something i couldn't care less about.
