I'm working on a translation of this game. This is my first time working on a PSP game. I managed to translate the menu. Here's a couple of pictures taken from Jpcsp:

The changes show up on Jpcsp, but not when I play the game on the PSP. So I made a patch and patched the original version of the game, but the changes still do not show up.

I used PPF O Matic and PPF Studio. And I'm using the hex editor MadEdit.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Probably an Eboot/boot problem.
try switching them and tell me if you still have the same problem.

Check this and say Lightpost I am waiting for the newest patch  :p

I used umdgen and switched the eboots and boot of the original with the one I'm working on and it still hasn't changed.

I saw that page, since there hasn't been a post for a few months I figured it was a dead project. I'll ask on there.

I used the hex editor and opened the game directly from the psp and the changes are there, but they aren't showing up.

I also extracted the ICON0.png, made changes to it, and put it back in. But it shows up unchanged.

I didn't show you that thread just for the translation already (almost) done but because if i remember well, there is the solution to your problem too i.e. (secret tip) the 2 eboots :p

Hi guys,

I've reviewed the tuts here and things Google is able to give me so far but somehow I can't find the next steps.
I found possibly all the text this game has in its BOOT.BIN which is found in the SYSDIR folder (extracted using UMDGen). Found the Menu texts, dialogues etc
If you translate things in the "BOOT.BIN" the Boot.bin is merely the Eboot.bin unencrypted, what I meant by switching them is, change Eboot.bin to Boot.bin and vice-versa. because the PSP only reads the Eboot.bin... if you translate things inside the Boot.bin the changes will not be there.

maybe a CRC check...? can't tell.

In umdgen, you just have to use the relink function and it's done.

It worked! Thank you so much :)

right click the boot and the eboot in the UMDgen program and then you will find out :p
