Greetings KingMike/Everyone~

I've made available a revised set of screen-captures from the game along with an English script (V1.00):

https://filebin.net/gzfax7hfusza06no

This is in Word.DOC format so please excuse me if there is a more standard way this is typically done... I have saved the Japanese text, English translation, and created hyperlinks for the JAP text to map with each image.

A few notes:
•Report 2 makes reference to “Sawa” hot springs/hotel located in “N” Prefecture (N県S沢温泉ホテル) that is either a fictional place or left open to interpretation?
•I cannot understand the words/text used in image seven of Report 6. Any help?
•Playing on the Easy-Level will cause the game to end after defeating the boss at Report 3 which prompts the player with a message not otherwise seen on Normal-Level.

This is by no means an official translation so I welcome any suggestions on the script! I made effort not to take too many liberties except for if locations did not make sense (see Report 2), over-use of words ('let's go!') or replacing terms that may read better in English ('after-life' in place of 'paradise').

I hope this helps and that we are able to finally translate this game!! It was fun to play-through and I think others would enjoy such a polished action-platformer!!

Hello KingMike,

I am sorry to hear and I hope that everything will turn out well for you.

To anyone interested in helping, I would like to ask if anyone can interpret the following image (Report 6 - Image7.BMP):

Is this a form of laughter?

And then I have one small edit to Report 1 - Image8.BMP:

8. またのごひいきを
店主 厄珍
a.   We again appreciate your patronage.
Owner: Yakuchin

Please take care everyone...

Greetings everyone!

As a follow-up to my previous post this image was simply a Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound of laughter.

Trying to simplify the translation to English is along the following:

はは = Wa Wa

ふふ = Fu Fu

Either could be understood in English as "Ha Ha".

I'm thinking to distinguish the characters as they are both laughing, although not genuinely, the first "Ha Ha" could be met with "He He" or even just "Fu Fu"?

These edits saved in a revised Word.DOC. Suggestions welcomed!:

Thanks!!  :)

The problem with handling ふふ as a giggle, how to write an onomatopoeia of a giggle in English

You could write it as "Hahaha" for her giggle, or "hahaha". "fufufu" sounds off in English anyway, "huhuhu" sounds like crying.

I appreciate the input, thanks!!

That makes sense, I've revised this scene to read simply as "Ha, ha, ha, ha...":

Of course whoever is interested in the heavy-lifting with the actual ROM hacking is welcome to take liberties with the script... I hope that in the least it is a helpful reference!  ;)

How about "Tee hee" or "hee hee"?

Hello there ReyVGM,

I think that's a good suggestion also!

I'm not sure how much interest or how many questions there are with the rest of the script but I hope it's a good place to start from!

The game itself is otherwise your typical Valis-esque title but I think the characters add charm!  ;D

hi, i'm interested in this as well. While the translation is not mandatory to enjoy the game it is still a nice addition.

Did you check this older translated script by Filler for comparison?

Wow!!  :o

Thank you for forwarding this translation!

Who developed this or for how long has this been available?

What I read here and what I scripted is very much in the same narrative direction so I'm glad to have this in comparison...

I appreciate the reference and interest in the progress being made here!

In the readme file it is attributed to Filler. Also the file moddate is 23-jul-2017.

Is Filler a member here?

Would be interested in knowing how they came about translating so much of this game and for it to sit for this long!

Unfortunately my job will be demanding most of my time for the next few weeks...

I hope everyone continues to offer their suggestions and help in this translation.

Will continue to leave anything I helped with open for everyone's use/consideration:
