I saw the Spun Web's attempt and have taken it a few steps further.

I loved this game as a kid, so I always wanted to know what I was doing.

The initial plan is to just do the options, etc for now. There's a lot of dialogue, lucky for me there's no Kanji.

Issues: the designs instead of making the japanese symbols that are "で or ど" etc. are separate symbols. Which is really weird.

Does anyone know if tiles are saved in vram? I'm trying to locate them.

The graphics are compressed and apparently the text is as well or at least part of it.

yup I know, it's still interesting to get further than Spun Web has done.

I'm looking into compressed graphics... but about everything that's actually needed to play the game can easily be changed.

menus, actions, etc.
