Dr. Chief - Halo Dr. Mario

This is my first venture into hacking a rom, so any criticism is welcome, just be gentle I'm basically changing all the sprites in Dr. Mario to fit a Halo theme. I've been working on it for about a month now and have almost completed replacing the sprites with originals that I have created. My next task is changing the color palettes, some text, and the music (if that is at all possible). So far I have gotten by using TLP and nesticle, I know ill soon need to get a hex editor and begin down that road.

I would like to post screenshots, but im not sure how to capture them, the alt+prntscrn keystroke does not work with Nesticle.

Anyway, leave a comment if u think this sounds cool, if u would be interested in playing this when it's done, or if u want to drop me a pointer or two

It's seriously advised that you do not use Nesticle to test your hack, because it is grossly outdated (very bright colors and very inaccurate sound, to name points relevant to your ideas). FCEUX is a much more accurate emulator that can do everything Nesticle can. (though Nestopia is supposedly currently the most accurate NES emulator, it does not have debugging/development features)

Looks good to me- great for a first hack. Probably a dumb thought,  but I think it would be cool if the pills were something like plasma/frag grenades or other Halo type weapon blasts.

Thanx for checking it out. They are grenades  frag, sticky, n incindiary. I also did a reboot of Krazy Kreatures with Halo sprites, ill be posting alot when I finally get sum time off work. Thanx again.

So I'm nearing completion. Sprite sheet is done, palettes hacked, text altered. Last thing on the list is music, which from what I've been reading isn't going to be an easy task. Any thoughts?
