[Vanilla]

Hey there!
I'm brazilian, my english is poor, so, forgive me and my spelling. Well, I'm not very good at hacking, but I read a lot about romhacking, any help will be great. Let's go:
I installed GameBoid (GBA emulator) on my Android. All ROMs works perfectly (even Pokémon Ruby, Saphire, Emerald, etc.), but the one that I most want to play, a Pokemon Ruby Hack called "Pokémon Light Platinum" doesn't. When I try to run it by the emulator the screen turns white.
I've downloaded some tools and found the following information:


I've extracted the .apk (android app file) files and one of them had something that seems to be useful:

I've already tried to recompile the .apk with the image info (except by the "vender_code = 01", I don't know what is that).

Vanilla, try setting the 'GBA save type' option in GameBoid to 'Flash (128KB)'.

Thanks, golden! It was setted by default. I've downloaded a lot of "fix" softwares, and fixed header, etc, etc... It finally works!

First of all I'm sorry for opening up again this rather old topic, however I'm stuck with the same problem and asked myself whether you could post your solution.

golden already posted the solution back then, you have to set the save type in the emulator options to 128KB.

Hi, the setting was 128k by default.
In any case I am trying to solve the problem by modifying the headers as pointed out by Vanilla, doesn't seem to work though...

just managed to do it, for anyone sharing my previous troubles:

 1. download the following tool: http://www.romhacking.net/utils/542/
 2. Set the following header data:

POKEMON EMER
BPEE
Nintendo
00
00
00

 3. Save type to 128k

-> Should work
