I'm doing a improvement hack on Deadly Towers on the NES right now and I just want to get your feedback. Here's the ips download
http://darkmew5.wikispaces.com/file/view/Deadly+Towers+improvement.rar/203803074/Deadly%20Towers%20improvement.rar

Here's some images

As you can see right here I edited the palettes, graphics, and block make-up.

In this picture I debugged the bat because at a certain frame it was distorted. I kind of didn't know how I edited the sprite, I just searched F6 in my hexeditor.

Oh and if you have any way to make the game easier, tell me. Also romhacking.net doesn't have Deadly Towers listed as a game.

Because nobody's submitted anything for this game. There should be a spot in the submission form where you can type the game name in (along with the console and genre) and it will be added to the list as your submission is approved.

Really? It's showing up on my computer. I have no idea why you can't view it, maybe you blocked imageshack on your browser or maybe imageshack doesn't support Japan.

I was wondering if there is a document or tool that could improve my hacking. Do you have any suggestions? I already have a hex editor, an emulator that has a PPU viewer and a name table viewer, and tilelayer

I posted a lot of information a long time ago on datacrystal with the idea to make it easier and an upgrade as well (easily lost interest after hunting through data, and decided I liked finding to be more fun). It might have something useful for you there: http://datacrystal.romhacking.net/wiki/Deadly_Towers
The RAM and ROM data finder by request (PM me): Yes, I'm back in business for NES finds (I forgot to mention this before) - still learning some GB* and SNES techniques.

Was there a method to your search?

I just used FCEUXDSP's trace logger and searching through after I did something. Since most of the data refers to a RAM address it was fairly easy to figure out how certain things worked. Most of that information is referred to on the RAM page. I did some level data searching, but the "maze" is entirely different, probably just a bunch of pointers, but I haven't figured that out as of posting all of that information. I think I have it posted, let me know if I don't, about where the corresponding graphics for certain tiles are. The first example I know of is the hidden shops were changed to a different tile to make them visible (I think it only worked for the main tower with what I was messing with though).
