And sorry to be an impatient bastard, but aishsha, how's Glory of Heracles going?
While busy working on one of my projects last year my XP PC got a virus that killed my PC. I did NOT lose any files and I've since gotten a new PC, but I haven't been in a mood to work on translations since then. I'm not stopping, just taking a break.
The translation of GoH 1 and the manual is done and I've played through the entire game, found every hotspot, and know where every piece of text is used and which ones are not used.
After that, I played through the translation of GoH2 and KlD is ALMOST done with the DS game, taking pictures of every monster, a real time consuming process. We did this to provide some consistency with monster, item, and location names. Turns out unfortunately, that the monsters in all 3 of these games seem to be almost completely distinct. This is unfortunate because most of the Japanese monster names in GoH 1 are meaningless. I was thinking of playing GoH III next, since I can't find a monster list for it, but I'm in the middle of some other games now with stories I want to focus on and I don't want to hold up this project any more.
What I did do since finishing GoH II has been mostly improving the item translations, I've really improved the translations of some items by adding more squishy tiles.
I've also made some other important text improvements to battle text to make them sound more natural.
But some of this 'trying to make the game translations the same' has hit some barriers, like what both GoH II and III have (and we originally) translated as the "Mast Ball". Since we later acquired the actual manual for GoH 1, we have seen a picture of the item and realised that the programmers made a typo on this item and it's better translated as "Pillar of Fire Ball(s)". "Pillar of Fire" differing from a "Mast" on a ship by like one letter. I guess the typo became the standard though, so Data East kept if for the next two games... Kinda funny really.
I also am planning on, once again, changing some of the text of the main menus to sound better... This is actually a time consuming process on GoH, so I've been putting this off...
Anyway, it's nice to see someone interested in the project. It helps get me in the mood to work on it again.

Evil? How so?
From what I remember, even the pointers there were extremely hard to decipher.
Super Chinese 3... Heh, let's just say I know a lot about this game too

So, someone is interested in this game too, hmm...
