Visually the game looks very impressive, excellent work.
"Remember when we were in Japan? You said you were my gun, if you're the gun then that means I'm the bullet."

"All my life I've been waiting for the gunpowder to go off, you know what you need to ignite gunpowder? You need a gun."

Just trying it out, looks good.

I did notice an error in the intro:
I will find him and
him here even if it
costs me my own dear (...)
Missing word: find him and (bring) him here, I guess?

I think there's also another unfinished line, in the first village.
Part of a guy's speech:
"But a terrible monster called Gyrogis dwells inside so nobody
You're going inside!"

Thanks. The thing is that the game used quite a complicated pointing system at places, so inserter worked not in an excellent way. Generally speaking, the game uses the same pointer table for several banks.
I would be really grateful, if all the misspellings or missed words would be posted here or sent to me directly.
I will fix that in the next release.

In the ending, when the hero is leaving, the princess says: "If you really decid to leave, you'd better hit the road before..."

Decide is missing an E.

Trying this out now.  :)

Both the game and translation was surprisingly good, save except for that missing E and various errors posted above, but that doesn't matter now, can be remedied by another follow-up patch....

Haven't got any far yet, but I'll try to finish it cause I have a thing for dungeon crawlers and the likes.

And sorry to be an impatient bastard, but aishsha, how's Glory of Heracles going?

It's all in DvD's hands right now. He's testing the game and tweaking its battle system. Translation is finished and from time to time, I translate the manual for that thing.

Thanks - appreciate that   ;)
As a matter of fact, this game even provoked me to look into other Birthday's games :)
And all the corrections posted here were taken on board :)

Oh, okay.

I'm relieved, 95% already, once this is finished there are 2 more games in the series that needs an English blessing.

I think it's just Juvei Quest and the remaining Kaiju Monogatari games (the two SNES games, as well as Poyon's Dungeon Room 1 & 2 for GBC (which actually resemble Dream Master)).
Not sure if the two Miracle of the Zone card games for GBC should count. :P

I have no experience with SNES and even less with GBC (as a matter of fact, I'm kinda afraid of it) :P
Somehow I thought magic candle is VERY much alike. At least, visually.

Culture Brain's evil so of course they get no love. I know for a fact that Super Chinese 3 is particularly evil.

From what I remember, even the pointers there were extremely hard to decipher.

And sorry to be an impatient bastard, but aishsha, how's Glory of Heracles going?

While busy working on one of my projects last year my XP PC got a virus that killed my PC.  I did NOT lose any files and I've since gotten a new PC, but I haven't been in a mood to work on translations since then.  I'm not stopping, just taking a break.

The translation of GoH 1 and the manual is done and I've played through the entire game, found every hotspot, and know where every piece of text is used and which ones are not used.

After that, I played through the translation of GoH2 and KlD is ALMOST done with the DS game, taking pictures of every monster, a real time consuming process.  We did this to provide some consistency with monster, item, and location names.  Turns out unfortunately, that the monsters in all 3 of these games seem to be almost completely distinct.  This is unfortunate because most of the Japanese monster names in GoH 1 are meaningless.  I was thinking of playing GoH III next, since I can't find a monster list for it, but I'm in the middle of some other games now with stories I want to focus on and I don't want to hold up this project any more.

What I did do since finishing GoH II has been mostly improving the item translations, I've really improved the translations of some items by adding more squishy tiles.
I've also made some other important text improvements to battle text to make them sound more natural.

But some of this 'trying to make the game translations the same' has hit some barriers, like what both GoH II and III have (and we originally) translated as the "Mast Ball".  Since we later acquired the actual manual for GoH 1, we have seen a picture of the item and realised that the programmers made a typo on this item and it's better translated as "Pillar of Fire Ball(s)".  "Pillar of Fire" differing from a "Mast" on a ship by like one letter.  I guess the typo became the standard though, so Data East kept if for the next two games...  Kinda funny really.

I also am planning on, once again, changing some of the text of the main menus to sound better...  This is actually a time consuming process on GoH, so I've been putting this off...

Anyway, it's nice to see someone interested in the project.  It helps get me in the mood to work on it again.

Super Chinese 3... Heh, let's just say I know a lot about this game too ;)

So, someone is interested in this game too, hmm...

I got CIB Heracles 2-4 around here. I suppose I should check again. I suppose I check if the typo remained.
(I got a copy of Heracles 1, but I only cared enough about it to get a loose copy. :P )
