Recently, a "
restoration project" came out for
Final Fantasy Adventure / Seiken Densetsu ~Final Fantasy Gaiden~. The title screen is a bit…
confusing. Honestly, it kind of looks like the title of the game is "Legend of the Mana: Sword" or "Sword: Legend of the Mana". So, I decided to take a crack at it. Thing is, I didn't have the patience to try messing with an "Americanized" version, so I just ended up with an "transliterated" version.

The logo for the first game has always been kind of an oddity. Future games would just use a big, blocky font, usually textured to look like stone. This
first game's logo is kind of redundant as it reads "Seiken Densetsu" right above the Romaji word "Seiken" wrapped around a sword. I just basically nuked the Japanese text and slid a Romaji version of "Densetsu" under it, then slapped that onto the English menu.

I know it's about nine tiles too big to actually fit into the space for either logo. Even a perfectly centered version is still four tiles too big. but I didn't really intend to actually
use it for anything. If anyone wants to use it for their project, though, go for it – no credit needed (since I just shaded an existing font to match). Here's the
isolated "Densetsu", for the curious.
