Beginnings is what differentiate the title from the SNES one, no?

It does. But it originally was going to be just Earth Bound. Also Neo Demiforce released it as Earth Bound Zero. So if I do release the title screen it would be with the option for with or without Beginnings in the title.

Love it.

I had the idea to do so since the game came out with that subtitle but the Spanish EB translation and MaternalBound typo fixes had my hands full.

BTW, were you the guy who contacted me regarding something similar to this?

Yes that was me. I also emailed DragonDeplatino about it because I'm going to submit it tonight, and he's cool with it. It's only going to be an add on for Mother 25th Faithful Edition and will include one that says Earth Bound as well as the one that says Earth Bound Beginnings.

I don't like the game itself, but I like that title screen. It just looks right.

I'm not completely following you, if you're asking why I didn't share the same palette between the text and the planet I wanted to have some color diversity on the screen. I did try it with just white text but it was bland, clean, but bland. It's still a work in progress so I may end up changing the text color (or even the design) if I find a better option.

Very nice, Grimlock! The only things I might've considered tweaking are the space between the subtitle words, and the shading on the subtitle, because when the text is that small it gives it sort of a "balloon" look if you know what I mean, and that makes it sort of cute looking.

Thanks! I'm not exactly sure what you mean, could you clarify a little more? Do you mean the spacing between the characters in "Rogue" and "Dawn"?

Yes, it struck me as an unusually wide spacing compared to what you'd get in a word processing program or such. But if no one else has pointed it out then it's probably not an issue.

Ah, right, I get what you're saying. I could move them closer but it would be at the cost of either 4 8x8 tiles or 2 8x8 tiles and not be aligned properly with "Metroid". Right now I have enough tiles to add a "press start" or version number. We're working hard to avoid any bugs or design flawes but I'm sure with a hack as vast as this one it's probably inevitable that we'll end up releasing some revisions, with that in mind I'm leaning toward reserving the remaining tiles for that purpose (text). I do have an alternate option for placing the version number so I might experiment with the spacing if I don't use the tiles for text.
